Welcome to Universal Source Healing Reflexology. I got involved in Reflexology when doing research for a good friend. I started looking on the internet, reading books, talking to people that do reflexology and having it done on my feet.
I started looking in the area for teachers and courses. The next thing I knew, I was enrolled in a course and getting certified in Reflexology.
The amazing thing was how my perception of reflexology changed over the course of my studies. I first thought of it as a ‘foot massage’. I ended up, after doing reflexology on more than one hundred pairs of feet, seeing it as a wonderful and powerful healing technique. I was totally amazed at the positive response from my clients and how they felt after a treatment. The benefits were phenomenal: reflexology helped loosen up my wife’s tight back muscles, another client’s sinus headaches were relieved and other clients got stress relief and were able to sleep like babies. To this day, I’m awed by how you can massage a person’s feet and they feel it all over their body, wherever they need the positive relief.
Reflexology roots back to the people of Egypt, India, China, Japan, and the Native Americans. Reflexology has been an effective healing tool for over 5,000 years.
Reflexology What is it ?
Reflexology is based on the fact that there are energy points in the feet and/or hands. Rubbing or applying pressure on these points unblocks the energy channels that correspond to the structures or the organs of the body.
The result of applying pressure to these spots is an increase in the energy level that allows the body’s own healing mechanisms to work. It balances the body energy at all levels.
Benefits of Reflexology
Relaxation
Pain relief
Improves circulation of the body’s systems
Stress relief
Detoxification
Boosts energy levels
Aids in the recovery after injury or surgery
I hope this helps you understand how I got involved in reflexology and why I feel it is such an important healing technique, and how it could help you.
